Welcome to my newest blog!

The subject matter of this new blog is not pretty, in fact, it’s very ugly. We are literally becoming a “taser-nation” where excessive force is the standard and no one in office blinks an eye to police brutality even when the target is a child or an elderly person.

I knew I had to publish another blog on this particular subject to spark public interest which will, hopefully, stimulate some healthy debate. When I began receiving these videos from online friends, well, I just could not believe what I was seeing. Police officers pulling out tasers (stun guns) because they didn’t want to answer questions, one highway patrolman in Utah tased a guy because he wouldn’t sign a traffic ticket. These days one can be the victim of this shocking device for looking crosseyed at an officer, I kid you not.  The most reprehensible action, though, were the targets being tasered over and over again while restrained meaning their hands were handcuffed behind their back and their legs were in shackles. There is no reason for an officer of the law to stoop to this kind of behavior unless he/she is mentally unbalanced, then they have no business being on the force and should be fired immediately.

What is even more disturbing beyond this is that 50% of Americans agree with the increase in violence and use of force by the police.  Go to YouTube and type in taser police.  Scanning through the videos I could not believe what some of these Americans were saying.  They are all for it.  These are ignorant people that think nothing like this could happen to them or a member of their family; it only happens to other people.   Not meaning to be facetious, but, they will get the biggest shock of their lives one day.

Tasers in the police officer’s arsenal will open a can of worms, but it won’t be directed at the so-called bad guys, it will be against those officers that have, up to now, been able to hide their grandiose behavior and brute male ego. Tasers have opened up a nice, neat little way for police to take their revenge on the unsuspecting public that still believes they are here to serve us. Anyone paying attention to the harsh reality today knows that just ain’t true. And they’ve killed a few people along the way too, nearly 300 since 1999. I would bet that there is more to this story, specifically why were tasers introduced to police departments not long after the first “Partriot Act” was signed in October 2001. I smell another rat folks.

I want to issue a standing offer to my readers. If you have first hand knowledge on this subject and would like to contribute something on tasers: their uses and misuses in society please contact me. I would especially like to hear from police officers in the field that are against the use of this deadly weapon.
